Journey to London

My journey began in the Philadelphia airport where I caught a red eye to Reykjavik Iceland. From there I connected to a flight to London which I just barely made. The second flight went much smoother than the first, there weren’t any delays or crying babies.

After a long day of flying the next part of transportation was the tube. That’s what made me the most anxious. It was absolutely crazy trying to figure out tickets and zone difference, but I got it. I took the Piccadilly line(so much fun just to say), got off at Green Park, and finally got on the Jubilee line to finally arrive at Kilburn Station. From there I was able just to walk to my hostel which was nice after such a long day of sitting. It was hard to believe that it was only noon when I finally got there and still had a whole day ahead of me. At that point I was utterly exhausted, but I caught up with my friend who I am taking this journey with and we got settled into the hostel and went out and explored. We found this cute little tavern where we stopped to get lunch. After lunch we took a walk but came back to nap in the end since we both had spent a long time getting to this point. We ended up finding this cute park where we walked around for awhile and just enjoyed the fresh air.

There was a cute little garden we walked through(I of course took a bunch of flower pictures) before heading back to the hostel by this time it was already 9pm but still so light out. After a crazy day of traveling, I have to say day one of this journey was pretty great and can’t wait to see what the rest brings.
